Flipkart is all set to bring joy to millions of customers by introducing same-day delivery across various categories in multiple cities. However, there’s a catch – customers need to place their orders before 1 pm to receive their products before midnight. The rollout is scheduled to begin in February and will gradually expand to serve customers in more cities over the next several months.
What to Expect:
Flipkart’s new initiative aims to make the same-day delivery experience accessible for a wide range of products. Customers in cities like Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Coimbatore, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Patna, Raipur, Siliguri, and Vijayawada can expect quick deliveries if they place their orders by the early afternoon.
The categories covered under this initiative include mobiles, fashion, beauty products, lifestyle items, books, home appliances, and electronics. Flipkart’s move is geared towards providing essential items to customers on the same day they order them.
To make same-day delivery possible, Flipkart has been investing heavily in its supply chain and technology infrastructure. The platform has been delivering over 120 million packages monthly and has established numerous fulfillment centers to reach customers even in remote areas.
