Petrol, and Diesel Prices on December 5: There is a very slight increase in the prices of crude oil in the international market. Around 6 am on Tuesday, WTI crude is being sold at $ 73.23 per barrel while remaining in the green. At the same time, Brent crude is also falling and trading at $ 78.03 per barrel. Oil marketing companies in the country have released the latest rates of petrol and diesel. In India, fuel prices are revised every morning at 6 am. Before June 2017, price revision was done every 15 days.

In West Bengal, petrol has become costlier by 44 paise and diesel by 41 paise. In Maharashtra, petrol is being sold with an increase of 22 paise and diesel by 21 paise. Apart from this, there is a slight increase in the prices of petrol and diesel in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Telangana also. On the other hand, in Punjab petrol has become cheaper by 22 paise and diesel by 21 paise. A slight decline in the prices of petrol and diesel is also visible in Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, Odisha and Goa.
At present, petrol in Delhi is being sold at Rs 96.72 a litre while diesel is being sold at Rs 89.62 a litre. Whereas in Mumbai, petrol is available at Rs 106.31 and diesel at Rs 94.27 per litre. While petrol in Kolkata is Rs 106.03 and diesel is Rs 92.76 per litre. On the other hand, petrol is being sold at Rs 102.63 and diesel at Rs 94.24 per litre in Chennai.

In India, oil marketing companies (OMCs) such as Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum determine petrol and diesel prices. This is done on a daily basis, and rates are determined in accordance with the price of crude oil throughout the world.
