An embarrassing video that shows a couple eating pani-puri in a highly questionable manner is making social media users collectively cringe. The undated video, which appears to be deliberately shot and edited for social media, shows a couple standing in front of a pani-puri stall. While the man eats the snack, the girl shows disinterest in eating. She then puts a dry pani puri shell in her mouth, this prompts her partner to fill the dry pani puri shell with water from his own mouth. This rather bizarre and ‘unappetizing’ display of public affection has the internet recoil in disgust.

It is unclear when and where the video was taken or who are the people in the video. On Thursday, a popular X account shared it online. It soon gathered over five lakh views. In the comments, people spoke about how the video made them feel uncomfortable.
An X user wrote, “Such videos should not be shared at night or in the morning in the interest of followers’ mental health.” Someone described the clip as “The most disgusting kind of PDA seen on the internet.”

People also noted that they felt bad for the pani puri seller who had to witness such an uncomfortable scene. Expressing this sentiment, an X user wrote, “Feeling bad for golgappe wala”. Another person said, “I am sure that the seller has moved shop elsewhere”.

This is not the only video that documents potentially harmful and unsavory acts of PDA. In June this year, a video that showed a couple indulging in PDA while riding a bike on NH9 near Ghaziabad’s Indirapuram area caused an uproar. The video showed the woman sitting on the bike’s fuel tank as she faced her partner and then hugging him, while the man rode the bike through traffic.

After this video went viral, the Ghaziabad Traffic Police posted on X that the bike rider was fined a total of Rs 21,000 for multiple violations, including not wearing a helmet, a faulty number plate, violating air pollution standards, and engaging in unauthorized racing and speed trials in a public space.
