Petrol, and Diesel Prices on November 3: There is no significant change in the prices of crude oil in the international market. Around 6 am on Friday morning, WTI crude was being sold at $ 82.58 per barrel. At the same time, Brent crude is trading at $ 86.92 per barrel. Oil marketing companies in the country have released the latest rates of petrol and diesel. In India, fuel prices are revised every morning at 6 am. Before June 2017, price revision was done every 15 days.
There is a reduction of 50 paise in the price of petrol in Chhattisgarh. At the same time, the price of diesel has reduced by 49 paise here. In Jharkhand, both petrol and diesel have become cheaper by 26 paise. The prices of petrol and diesel have also decreased in Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh. On the other hand, in Punjab the price of petrol has increased by 22 paise and that of diesel by 21 paise. Petrol has become costlier by 25 paise and diesel by 22 paise in Madhya Pradesh. Apart from this, the prices of petrol and diesel have also increased in West Bengal.
At present, petrol in Delhi is being sold at Rs 96.72 a litre while diesel is being sold at Rs 89.62 a litre. Whereas in Mumbai, petrol is available at Rs 106.31 and diesel at Rs 94.27 per litre. While petrol in Kolkata is Rs 106.03 and diesel is Rs 92.76 per litre. On the other hand, petrol is being sold at Rs 102.63 and diesel at Rs 94.24 per litre in Chennai.
In India, oil marketing companies (OMCs) such as Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum determine petrol and diesel prices. This is done on a daily basis, and rates are determined in accordance with the price of crude oil throughout the world.
