Sensex Today: After a day’s gap, benchmark indices opened higher on Wednesday tracking gains in US markets and ease in crude oil prices. The BSE Sensex rose 150 points to 64,732, and the NSE Nifty50 gained 47 points to 19,328.

Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Nestle, SBI, HCL Tech and Ultratech Cement led gains on the Sensex, while Hindalco, Adani Enterprises and Adani Ports were the additional Nifty winners.
On the flip side, NTPC, Power Grid, Infosys, HDFC Life and Bharti Airtel were among the top frontline drags.

The broader markets also staged a rebound. The BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices jumped 0.7 per cent and 1.2 per cent, respectively.
Global Cues
In the US, the S&P 500 gained 0.73 per cent, the Dow was up 0.62 per cent and the Nasdaq added 0.93 per cent on Tuesday as 10-year treasury yield eased a bit from its record high.

Asian markets were mixed this morning with Nikkei, Hang Seng rising 1 per cent and 2 per cent, respectively. Strait times and Kospi fell up to 0.4 per cent. CSI 300 in China was up 1 per cent.
Crude oil eased to $88 per barrel after dipping over 2 per cent on Monday as economic data in the Euro zone and Britain came weaker than expected, raising worries about a slowdown and demand slump for oil.
