iOS 17 is likely to change a few things that will affect your daily life
The iconic red “end call” button has been repositioned to mix with other buttons, taking the place of the contacts button, according to screenshots published by CNBC. Presently, the end call button stands solitarily at the screen’s bottom center during calls, surrounded by a cluster of six buttons further up. The change will likely affect your daily life as long-time iPhone users will initially tap on the wrong buttons to hang up calls.
Not just this, Apple has also changed the positions of other buttons, with the mute and speakerphone buttons exchanging locations. In addition to this, the keypad and FaceTime buttons will also swap their spots, as per the latest iOS 17 beta version. Even the icon for adding a call undergoes a subtle transformation – what was once a simple plus sign has evolved into a profile picture and a smaller attached plus sign.
The company has also altered the buttons’ arrangement on the screen. The six-button group, which currently occupies the upper half of the screen during calls, is shifted to the lower section of the display in the beta version. Hence, people who are using the iOS 17 beta 5 version will see some changes.
The public release of iOS 17 will likely take place with the unveiling of new iPhone 15 models in the fall. It’s important to note that the current beta layout may not necessarily mirror the final design that users will encounter when iOS 17 officially becomes accessible to all. Hence, users should wait for a few more weeks to get confirmation of this.
With the iOS 17 update, capturing full-page screenshots will become easier without the need for third-party apps or complicated workarounds. You will be able to take a scrolling screenshot of lengthy webpages, documents, or emails that extend beyond the length of your iPhone’s screen and save it as an image, no longer restricted to only PDF format.

Alongside this change, the physical mute switch that has been a staple of iPhones for years will be replaced by an innovative “Action Button.” This programmable button will offer quick access to functions like silent mode, flashlight, Focus mode, Translate app, and the magnifier on the iPhone’s camera app, as per details offered by a recent iOS 17 beta update.
