Earlier, the Corporation had reduced the speed of its trains over four Yamuna bridges amid rising water levels in the river.
The water levels of the Yamuna River, which flows through the national capital, have now receded to 207.68 meters as of this morning, after surpassing a 45-year record. However, several areas in Delhi still remain flooded.

It is worth noting that earlier this week, the water level of the Yamuna River reached 208.66 meters, surpassing the previous record of 207.49 meters set in 1978.
Metro trains had been crossing the four bridges at a restricted speed of 30 kmph as a precautionary measure due to the swollen river.
The Four Metro Bridges Are At These Locations:
- Red Line: Kashmere Gate – Shastri Park
- Blue Line: Indraprastha – Yamuna Bank
- Pink Line: Sarai Kale Khan Nizamuddin – Mayur Vihar Phase 1
- Magenta Line: Kalindi Kunj – Okhla Bird Sanctuary
Meanwhile, Delhi PWD Minister Atishi stated that Yamuna river water is receding and Delhi residents will get relief in the next 12 hours. She also raised questions on the release of excess water from Hathnikund Barrage.
“It is a big question why all the water from Hathnikund Barrage was being released only for Delhi. Not a single drop of water was released into the canals going to UP and Haryana from there. Haryana will have to answer for this. Can the flood situation in Delhi have been avoided?,” ANI quoted Atishi as saying.

Notably, the Delhi Government alleged that the Haryana Government, where BJP is in power, directed excess water from the Hathnikund barrage to the national capital, leaving the Uttar Pradesh side without water.
Earlier Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stated that Yamuna water level is receding slowly and situation will normalise soon if there is further rainfall.
