Infinix launches premium looking Inbook X2 Slim laptop with old-gen Intel CPUs, price starts at Rs 27,990

Infinix has refreshed its InBook laptop segment with new InBook X2 series notebooks. The new laptop series includes up to an 11th-Gen Core i7 processor, which may not seem a significant addition as traditional OEMs continue to introduce PCs with new-gen 13th-Gen Intel Core CPUs. However, Infinix may still hope to attract customers as the top variant of the InBook X2 Slim includes 16GB of RAM and 1TB storage without taking the price above Rs 51,000. Infinix boasts the laptop’s metal body, which even some pricier laptops lack.

Infinix InBook X2 Slim specifications

There are primarily three variants of the Infinix InBook X2 Slim with 11th-Gen Intel Core i3, i5, and i7 processors. The laptops come with an integrated GPU, therefore, heavy games may not run. The laptops are also backed by PCle 3.0 SSD fast-storage certified and LPPDR4X RAM. Infinix points out that it has incorporated a 1.0 Cooling system for effective cooling. The port connectivity options on the laptops are also uniform. There are two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, an HDMI port, and a Type-C port. The InBook X2 Slim series features an IPS display with Full-HD resolution (1920×1080 pixels) and a 60Hz refresh rate.

Moreover, the display offers 300nits brightness and 100 per cent sRGB colour reproduction. The new InBook X2 Slim laptop is backed by a 50Wh battery. The company promises 11 hours of “uninterrupted” web browsing and about nine hours of video playback. However, these are generally boosted figures, and the battery life with multiple settings enabled may be much less. The package includes a 65W adapter and users can charge the laptop via the Type-C port. It could be useful for even Infinix smartphone users as they can use the same cable to charge their new Infinix phones.

All the new laptops run on Windows 11 OS, which has been receiving updates to help users boost productivity with generative AI features. Microsoft has also added Bing Chat right into the taskbar to help users perform a variety of tasks with ChatGPT-like AI chatbot.
