Commuters now have the convenience of paying parking fees using Paytm FASTag at airport parking lots. While FASTag was initially used exclusively for paying toll fees on highways, it now allow users to seamlessly enter and exit select airport parking lots in India without making cash payments.
Paytm payments bank has made an important announcement regarding car parking at Patna Airport, which is authorized by the Airport Authority of India (AAI). The payments app has introduced a new feature that allows people to pay for car parking using a system called FASTag. To implement this service successfully, PPBL has partnered with ASN, a parking management service provider. The whole idea behind the collaboration is to address the issue of congestion and long queues that often occur at airport parking lots.

Previously, car owners had to go through the hassle of making cash payments for parking their vehicles at Patna Airport. The use of FASTag for parking payments at Patna Airport means that visitors and passengers can utilize dedicated lanes specifically designed for FASTag users. As vehicles approach the entry or exit points, a sensor reads the RFID sticker attached to the vehicle, automatically deducting the applicable parking charges from the user’s Paytm wallet or the linked account associated with their FASTag.

Surinder Chawla, the Managing Director and CEO of Paytm Payments Bank, expressed his excitement about this new development. He highlighted that PPBL is the largest issuer of FASTags in the country and emphasized their commitment to providing seamless travel experiences by enabling automatic toll and parking deductions from users’ Paytm Wallets. Chawla believes that the partnership at Patna Airport will significantly improve the entry and exit process for individuals, ultimately contributing to enhanced urban mobility.
