In the meantime, individual researchers and developers are using purpose-driven artificial intelligence programmes to pursue their personal goals. It helps us visualise things that can’t happen in reality.
Last year, leaders of various countries met at COP27 to discuss climate change, and estimates now claim that Earth’s goals for emission reduction will not be met.

Canada has developed a plan to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, along with many other countries like India. But what will happen if humanity fails to achieve its Net Zero target by 2050? Our cities would look starkly different than they do today.
Now, an artificial intelligence tool called Midjourney has given a glimpse of what our major cities will look like 27 years from now.
Here we have created some images using the Midjourney AI tool to depict what Indian cities would look like in 2050 due to climate change, and the results are undigested:
