Gold, silver price today, Dec 30, 2022: Precious metals witness dip on MCX | Check latest rates here

For the second day in a row, both gold and silver prices opened lower on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Friday, December 30.

Recording a marginal dip of Rs 49 or 0.09 per cent, gold futures, maturing on February 3, 2023, stood at Rs 54,975 per 10 grams on the MCX.

Similarly, silver futures, maturing on March 3, 2023, witnessed a downfall of Rs 145 or 0.21 percent and were retailing at Rs 69,740 per kg on the MCX.

Notably, the prices of gold and silver stood at Rs 54,971 per 10 grams and Rs 69,767 per kg respectively when the market closed on December 29.

The gold and silver prices in India depend on several factors, including the value of the rupee against the dollar. Global demand also plays a key role in determining the trends observed in the rate of precious metals.
