New Delhi: Skin toners have become increasingly popular in the skincare market today and there are several types of skin toners available, from alcohol-based to non-alcoholic ones, the list is endless. Skin toners are used for different purposes; they can be used to maintain the pH level of the skin and they can also be used to reduce the size of your pores.

While several types of skin toners are available in the market, you could also resort to the homemade DIY ones. DIYs are becoming increasingly popular and therefore, you can also make DIY skin toners at home. These are made of natural ingredients and they are safer for your skin. Here, take a look at the different skin toners that you can make at home that addresses your skin concerns.

  1. Aloe vera: This DIY toner helps with acne as well as dry skin. It helps to moisturise the skin and also works to brighten your skin. Also, if you’ve got sunburns or redness, this toner works well to soothe the skin. Mix rose water and aloe vera thoroughly and apply it to your skin.
  2. Rosewater: It can be said this is the most used natural toner due to its calming and hydrating properties. Boil rose petals and extract the water out of it. Cool it and use this toner.
  3. Witch hazel: This is another ingredient that acts as an astringent for the skin. It helps to calm irritated and inflamed skin. Mix witch hazel and aloe vera with an essential oil and apply it to your skin after cleansing it. It also helps to minimise the size of your pores.
  4. Cucumber and witch hazel: Cucumber is a cooling and hydrating ingredient and when witch hazel is mixed with it, the toner helps to calm the skin and also maintain the pH level of the skin.
