IMD has predicted a rise in maximum temperature by 2-4 degree Celsius during the next five days with no significant change thereafter.

The national capital is set to witness more heat in the coming days with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicting a rise in temperature from April 15. The weather department has warned of heatwave for Delhi from April 16. The temperature in Delhi will also witness an increase in the coming days.
Notably, light rain and thunderstorms in Delhi-NCR on April 10 and 11 brought down the temperature with people getting a brief relief from the scorching heat. According to IMD, “A fresh spell of heatwave likely to commence over parts of Northwest India and over Gujarat from 15th April.”

IMD Predicts Rise In Temperature For Northwest India
According to IMD predictions, Northwest India will see a rise in maximum temperature by 3-5 degrees Celsius during the next five to sex days, starting from April 13 to April 18.
Meanwhile, the temperature in Central India is set to witness a gradual rise by 2-4 degrees Celsius during April 14-19.
For West India, the IMD has forecast a rise in maximum temperatures of 2-4 degrees Celsius over the next five days, with no significant change anticipated thereafter.
“No significant change in maximum temperatures likely over rest parts of the country,” said IMD.

Heatwave Warning For Gujarat, MP And Haryana
According to IMD, there is a moderate to high probability of heat waves over some or isolated pockets of Rajasthan, south Haryana, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh on April 10.
“Hot & humid weather is likely to prevail over coastal areas of Gujarat and Maharashtra on 10th April. A fresh spell of Heat wave conditions is likely at West Rajasthan from 14th to 16th, East Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab on 16th April,” it said.
Weather Forecast For Tamil Nadu And Karnataka
According to the weather department, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, North interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema, and Telangana, are likely to witness light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds in the coming five days.
