To ease travel during the summer holidays, Indian Railways is launching a series of special trains via Kanpur Central and Govindpuri, connecting passengers to popular destinations such as hill stations, Mumbai, and Gujarat. These trains will supplement the 50 special trains already in operation.

A Mumbai Central–Varanasi–Mumbai Central weekly AC special will operate every Wednesday from Mumbai Central and every Friday from Varanasi. The 17-coach train will make 12 trips across April, May, and June, passing through Farrukhabad, Kannauj, and Kanpur Central. Similarly, a Bandra Terminus–Barhani–Bandra Terminus weekly special will run every Sunday and Monday, completing 12 trips via Kanpur Central with 22 coaches.

In addition, a Vadodara–Mau–Vadodara Superfast weekly special will be operational from April to June, making 13 trips and halting at Kanpur Central and Fatehpur. Another weekly special—Bandra Terminus–Banaras–Bandra Terminus Superfast unreserved train—will run every Thursday and Friday during the same period, making 12 trips and stopping at Manikpur Junction in Chitrakoot.

Meanwhile, due to non-interlocking work at Gondia station, four trains passing through Manikpur Junction will be canceled. These include the Barauni–Gondia Express (May 2–6), Gondia–Barauni Express (May 3–7), Durg–Nautanwa Express (April 25 and May 2), and Nautanwa–Durg Express (April 27 and May 4).
