CM Yuva Udyami Yojana: UP Govt To Provide Loans To 1.5 Lakh Youth, Plans Over 5,000 Solar Shop-cum-Service Centers To Boost Entrepreneurship

UP MSME Minister Rakesh Sachan announced that under the CM Yuva Udyami Yojana, loans will be distributed to 40,000 youth in the next three months, with a yearly target of 1.5 lakh beneficiaries. The minister reviewed the department’s three-month action plan on Monday at Niryat Bhawan and emphasised the importance of focused efforts on key initiatives, including the ODOP (One District One Product) and the Chief Minister’s Youth Self-Employment Scheme.

He instructed officials to coordinate closely with banks and educational institutions to onboard as many youth as possible into the entrepreneurial ecosystem. To further this aim, Youth Entrepreneur Conclaves are being planned in Kanpur and Lucknow divisions within the next three weeks. These events, in collaboration with IIT, AKTU, HBTU, Lucknow University, and Amity University, will feature industry experts in franchise models, machinery suppliers, and mobile businesses.

District Industry Officers were directed to work with District Magistrates to ensure land availability for MSME schemes. The minister also emphasised timely budget approvals for awards, pensions, and training schemes for handicrafts men and small entrepreneurs, along with assigning district-wise targets.

Additionally, he called for the expansion of the ODOP scheme and revealed plans to set up 5,000 Solar Shop-cum-Service Centers in rural areas with support from SRLM. The department’s online portal will also be enhanced to make it more user-friendly.

Commissioner and Director of Industries Vijayendra Pandian added that under the MSME Policy 2022, financial support is being extended to private investors for the development of industrial parks.
