CISCE Revises ISC Class 11, 12 Syllabus For 2025, 2026 Academic Sessions; Check Details

The revised Indian School Certificate (ISC) examination curriculum is now accessible on the Council’s official website – cisce.org – under the ‘Library (Publications)’ section

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has updated the syllabus for some subjects for classes 11 and 12 students. This includes class 12 Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Commerce, Accounts, History, Geography, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, and Legal Studies. For Class 11 students, revisions have been made in Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, and History subjects.

The revised Indian School Certificate (ISC) examination curriculum is now accessible on the Council’s official website – cisce.org – under the ‘Library (Publications)’ section. CISCE has directed school heads to inform students, teachers, and parents about the updated syllabus to ensure effective academic planning and preparation.

Meanwhile, CISCE is set to announce the results for the ISC Class 12 and Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Class 10 examinations soon. The ISC Class 12 exams were conducted from February 13 to April 5, 2025, while the ICSE Class 10 exams took place between February 18 and March 27, 2025.

Looking at the previous years, CISCE announced results on May 6, 2024, and May 14, 2023. Based on previous trends, the results are expected to be declared in May 2025, though an official date and time have yet to be confirmed by the Council.

In recent years, the ISC pass percentage has remained consistently high. In 2024, the pass percentage for girls was 99.65 per cent, and for boys, it was 99.31 per cent, leading to an overall pass rate of 99.47 per cent. In 2023, the pass percentage for girls was 99.21 per cent, while boys recorded 98.71 per cent, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 98.94 per cent.

Similarly, the CISCE ICSE pass percentage has shown an upward trend. In 2024, the pass percentage for girls was 98.92 per cent, and for boys, it stood at 97.53 per cent, leading to an overall pass rate of 98.19 per cent. Comparatively, in 2023, the pass percentage for girls was 98.01 per cent, with boys recording 95.96 per cent, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 96.93 per cent.
