Bank Holiday List In April: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has stated that banks will be closed on various days in April, such as Sundays, public holidays, and special festivals. The first April bank holiday will be on April 1, 2025, because of the commercial banks’ annual inventory. This is a compulsory process where banks have to keep themselves closed for one day.

Bank Holidays In April

Banks will remain closed on 6th April, Sunday due to Ram Navami because being a major festival of Hindus, puja etc. are performed on this day. On this occasion, schools and offices will also remain closed in many states.

On April 10, Thursday, the birthday of Lord Mahavir, the 24th Tirthankar of Jainism, is being celebrated. People of Jainism celebrate it with great pomp. Banks will also remain closed on this day due to public holiday.

According to the guidelines of the Reserve Bank, all the banks of the country will remain closed on April 12 due to the second Saturday of the month.

April 13 is Sunday, so banks will remain closed.

On April 14, banks will also remain closed due to government holiday on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar, the architect of the Constitution.

On April 15, banks will remain closed in Agartala, Guwahati, Itanagar, Kolkata and Shimla due to Bohag Bihu.

On April 16, banks will remain closed in Guwahati due to Bohag Bihu.

Banks will remain closed on April 18 as it is Good Friday.

Banks will remain closed in Agartala on April 21 on the occasion of Garia Puja.

Banks will remain closed on April 26 as it is the fourth Saturday of the month.

Banks will remain closed on April 29 on the occasion of Lord Sriparshuram Jayanti.

Banks will remain closed in Bengaluru on April 30 on the occasion of Basava Jayanti and Akshaya Tritiya.

In such bank holidays, banking services remain accessible to customers through internet banking, mobile banking, and ATMs. Branch banking facilities will not be provided on bank holidays.
