Vande Bharat Time-Table: Indian Railways has altered the schedule of the country’s third Vande Bharat Express train. Launched on September 30, 2022, this semi-high-speed train connects Maharashtra and Gujarat. This is the country’s third Vande Bharat train and runs between Mumbai Central and Gandhinagar. The Western Railway (WR) zone is responsible for the train’s maintenance and operation.
Mumbai Central-Gandhinagar Vande Bharat To Make 6 Halts
This train, running between Mumbai Central and Gandhinagar, covers a distance of 520 kilometres in 6 hours and 25 minutes. It runs every day of the week except Wednesday. Previously, it stopped at five stations. However, the zonal railway has made some changes to its stoppages. Now, instead of five, it will stop at six stations — Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara Junction, Anand Junction, and Ahmedabad Junction.

Fare For Mumbai Central-Gandhinagar Vande Bharat
Vande Bharat Express train number 20901 departs from Mumbai Central at 06:00 and reaches its destination at 12:25. The return train (number 20902) departs from Gandhinagar at 14:05 and reaches Mumbai Central at 20:30. This 16-coach train has AC chair car and executive chair car arrangements.
The fare for travelling in an AC chair car between Mumbai Central and Gandhinagar Capital is ₹1,255, while it is ₹2,435 for an executive chair car.
New Vande Bharat Train Announced
Meanwhile, another Vande Bharat train has been announced to run between Bhopal and Lucknow. This will reduce the travel time between the two capitals from 9-12 hours to 6-7 hours. Its fare will also be similar to that of premium trains. Passengers on the Bina-Jhansi-Kanpur route will benefit the most from this.
