Mahashivratri 2025 Bank Holiday: Mahashivratri, a significant Hindu festival, falls on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. Banks across 18 states, including Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Mizoram, Maharashtra, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana will be closed.

Due to the closing of physical branches, customers won’t be able to utilise banking services offline. However, online banking services will operate uninterrupted, allowing customers to perform transactions, pay bills, and access other online banking facilities.

Schools And Colleges To Be Closed 

Educational institutions, both government and private, including schools and colleges, will also remain closed on this day.

Significance Of Mahashivratri

Devotees traditionally observe Mahashivratri by offering milk and flowers to the Shivling.
