BSNL Voice-only Plan:Following the latest guidelines from TRAI, major telecom companies in India have introduced new voice and SMS-only plans for users who don’t need internet data. Previously, customers had to opt for bundled plans, which included data. Now, Airtel, Jio, and Vi have launched these standalone voice and SMS plans, but many feel that the pricing is a bit on the higher side. BSNL, which has long been offering voice-only plans, has gained renewed interest due to TRAI’s push for more flexibility.
A Look at the New Voice and SMS-Only Plans
Among the providers, BSNL offers the most affordable voice and SMS-only option. Their Rs 439 plan provides unlimited voice calls and SMS for 90 days. Jio comes in slightly higher at Rs 448 for an 84-day validity, but they also offer a longer-term plan at Rs 1748, valid for 336 days, which includes unlimited calls and 3600 SMS.
