Delhi Water Cut On February 20: Several Areas To Face 12-Hour Supply Disruption On Thursday; Check Affected Localities

Delhi Water Cut On February 20: Residents in certain parts of the national capital will have a 12-hour water supply disruption (from the evening of February 20 to the morning of February 21) due to necessary repair work, the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) stated on Friday.

Delhi Water Cut On Feb 20: Affected Areas

North Delhi Regions: Bakhtawarpur, Jhangola, Tigipur, Kushak No. 111, Mahammadpur, Ramjanpur, Singhu, Palla, Tajpur, Akbarpur Mazra, Alipur, Jindpur, Bakoli, Khampur, Budhpur, Hamidpur, Holambi Kalan, Khera Kalan, and Khera Khurd.

Narela And Surrounding Areas:  Naya Bans, Mamurpur, Pana Udhyan/Paposian Narela, various colonies of Narela (regularized, JJ Cluster, DDA area, and Industrial area), Metro Vihar Phase I and II, Holambi Kalan villages.

Other Affected Locations: Nangli Poona, Kadipur, Mukhemelpur, Ibrahimpur, Sant Nagar, Burari, Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar, Samaipur, Badli, Libaspur, and Sirsapur.

The DJB clarified that the freshly installed 900 mm and 1500 mm diametre inlet water mains at Palla are being interconnected, which is the cause of the interruption. Consequently, throughout the repair period, these regions’ water supply will either be unavailable or only provided at low pressure.

Residents in impacted areas have been advised by the DJB to use water sparingly and make the required preparations beforehand. Water tankers will be available upon request through the DJB helpline or central control room for individuals in need of an emergency water supply.
