Surajkund Mela To Begin From Feb 7; Check Ticket Price, Cultural Performances And Other Details

Surajkund Mela 2025: The 38th Surajkund International Crafts Mela is set to delight visitors from February 7 to 23, 2025 in Surajkund, Faridabad. As one of the largest crafts fairs globally, it attracts over a million visitors annually, celebrating India’s rich traditions in handicrafts and culture.

This vibrant event showcases a variety of handcrafted items, textiles, folk performances and authentic cuisine, promising a captivating experience for attendees of all ages. The mela features artisans from across India as well as international participants, providing a unique platform for showcasing craftsmanship and preserving ancient art forms.

Surajkund Mela 2025: Event Details

Dates: 7th to 23rd February 2025

Venue: Surajkund, Faridabad, Haryana

Timings: 10:30 AM – 8:30 PM daily

With over 1,000 stalls, the fairgrounds are organised into sections representing different Indian states, allowing visitors to explore diverse artistic expressions.

Surajkund Mela 2025: Ticket

For the first time, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has partnered with the mela organisers to facilitate ticket sales through various channels:

Online: Tickets can be booked via the DMRC mobile app.

Metro Stations: Select Delhi Metro stations will have ticket counters.

On-site: Tickets will also be available at the venue.

Special Counters: Additional booths will be set up at key entry points for easy access.

Visitors are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance, particularly on weekends when attendance is expected to be high.

Surajkund Mela: Cultural Performances

As always, the Chaupals (open-air theatres) at the Surajkund Mela will host live performances by folk artists, dancers and musicians from all over India. Each evening, the Main Chaupal will feature cultural programmes, including traditional dances like Bhangra, Kathak and Odissi, along with musical acts.

Throughout the day, guests can enjoy puppet shows, storytelling sessions, and interactive folk performances, enriching the festival atmosphere with art and tradition.

Faridabad Surajkund Mela: Culinary Delights

Food enthusiasts will find a diverse selection of cuisines at the multi-cuisine food court. Regional specialties such as Rajasthani Dal Baati Churma, Amritsari Kulcha from Punjab, South Indian dosas and Bengali sweets will be available. Additionally, international food stalls will offer global favourites, while organic and traditional food stalls will showcase local flavours and cooking techniques.

Fun rides, adventure sports and recreational activities will also be available, making the mela a complete family experience.

Faridabad Surajkund Mela: Parking and Transportation

For those driving to the venue, DMRC will provide 24/7 parking facilities at select metro stations, along with shuttle services from nearby stations to the mela. Dedicated parking lots with security will be available near the fairgrounds.

To avoid traffic congestion, especially on weekends, visitors are encouraged to use public transport or consider carpooling.
