Director Chandoo Mondeti confirmed Sai Pallavi is on bed rest after running a temperature.
The much-anticipated Telugu film, Thandel, is all set to release on February 7, 2025. The movie stars Sai Pallavi and Naga Chaitanya in the lead roles. On January 31, the team of Thandel was in Mumbai for the trailer launch which even had a special guest appearance by Aamir Khan. However, Sai was missing from the grand event due to her ill health. She has been advised complete bed rest for two days after running a fever due to exertion.

According to Deccan Chronicle, director Chandoo Mondeti said, “Sai Pallavi was supposed to attend the Thandel hindi trailer launch in Mumbai but she was continuously travelling to various cities for the promotional activities. She is running temperature and the doctor has advised her complete bed rest for at least 2 days.”
A source, meanwhile, said, “Sai Pallavi will not be attending the Hindi trailer launch of Thandel in Mumbai. Actually, Sai Pallavi was supposed to be at the trailer launch in Mumbai today. But unfortunately, she is unwell. Thus, she is unable to attend the trailer launch of Thandel.”

Talking about Thandel, directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film is set to release theatrically on February 7, 2025, ahead of Valentine’s Week. The storyline of the film is inspired by real-life events that took place in the village of D Matchilesam in the Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh. The producer of Thandel is Bunny Vasu under Geetha Arts and it is presented by Allu Aravind.

Meanwhile, Sai also has Ramayana in her pipeline, where she will be portraying the role of Sita. Ranbir Kapoor will be seen as Ram. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana: Part 1 will release in Diwali 2026. The film also stars Ravi Dubey, Sunny Deol and Yash.
