With five fatalities so far and over 2,000 structures being reduced to ash, California Governor Gavin Newson has already declared a state of emergency. As per the Los Angeles Times, more than 1,00,000 residents have been evacuated under the administration orders with the wildfires burning across Los Angeles County amid red flag warnings in effect through Thursday. Firefighters also continue to battle multiple blazes overnight with the whipping winds fuelling major wildfires. The latest updates show Palisades being the worst affected with over 15,800 acres burning with numerous houses, businesses and landmarks engulfed.
