PMAY Scheme 2025: The survey to assign new targets to districts under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana (PMAY) will begin on January 10. Ahead of this, a training session for all surveyors will take place on Tuesday.

The survey team has already been deployed across all 373 panchayats in the district. After completing the training session, the survey will begin on January 10, with the aim to finish within a month.
Once the survey is completed, a list of eligible beneficiaries from each panchayat will be compiled and forwarded to the Rural Development Department. The department will then create block-wise lists and send them to the headquarters. Following this, the district will receive block-wise targets, and funds will be allocated to the beneficiaries for the construction of their homes.

PM Awas Yojana: Beneficiaries Can Apply Through Mobile App
In a development, beneficiaries can now directly apply for the scheme through the newly launched PMAY mobile app. This app, developed by the Rural Development Department, can be easily downloaded on smartphones, allowing applicants to submit their details and be part of the initiative smoothly.
Following this, the housing assistants will verify the information. If the applicants meet the departmental criteria, the process will proceed with face detection, geo-tagging, and e-KYC, all of which will be completed during a survey conducted via the Awas Plus app, as reported by Jagran.com.
DRDA Director Abhijeet Chaudhary provided technical guidance during the training of all the surveyors. Afterwards, the lists from all the blocks will be forwarded to the district, where they will be consolidated and sent to the headquarters. Following this, the headquarters will set the target for the district.
