Royal Jordanian Airlines announced the launch of non-stop flights connecting Amman with Mumbai and Delhi, starting April 17. Flights to Mumbai will commence on April 17, while services to Delhi will begin on September 17, the airline revealed on Wednesday.

The new routes are part of Royal Jordanian’s strategic growth initiative to position Jordan as a premier tourist destination for Indian travelers while enhancing connectivity to over 45 global destinations.

New routes feature in-flight entertainment

The routes will be operated using dual-class A320neo aircraft, offering economy and business class options, along with amenities like in-flight entertainment and WiFi services.

“The launch of our new routes to Mumbai and New Delhi marks a significant milestone in our strategy to promote Jordan as a tourism destination for the Indian market,” said Karim Makhlouf, Chief Commercial Officer at Royal Jordanian Airlines.

In addition to boosting tourism, the direct flights aim to strengthen bilateral trade and economic ties between India and Jordan. Amman, the airline’s hub, will serve as a gateway for Indian travelers to Europe, North America, and the Middle East, ensuring seamless connections to various destinations.

As part of its expansion, Royal Jordanian plans to introduce 19 new aircraft, including A320neos and Boeing 787s, in 2025-26. The initiative aligns with the airline’s “Explore Jordan” program, reinforcing its commitment to showcasing Jordan as a distinctive destination for Indian travelers.
