The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the last date to apply for Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme. Now girls can apply for this scholarship till 10 January 2025. Earlier, the last date for application was fixed as 31 December 2024. Along with this, the last date to complete the process of verification from the school has been extended to 17 January 2025.
Under this scheme of CBSE, financial assistance is provided to those girl students who score good marks in their class 10th examination and who are the only child of their parents. The aim of this scholarship is to promote education among single girl child and provide them financial support for their studies.

What is necessary?
The girl students applying have to fulfill some conditions. The most important condition is that the candidate should be unmarried and the only child of her parents. Also, the girl student should get at least 60% marks in the class 10th examination conducted by CBSE. Apart from this, the girl student should be enrolled to study from CBSE school in class 11th and 12th. During the application process, the girl students will also have to fill some important information, such as name, bank details (bank name, account number, and bank address) etc.
