The BSE publishes the list of Trading Holidays every year. This list includes the typical weekend holidays, along with festivals and national holidays. Investors should only depend on this list to understand the stock market schedule and plan their trades accordingly.
In January, the stock market will observe eight holidays. Investors will not be able to place any trades in the market during these days. National holidays like Independence Day and Republic Day are also observed as holidays in the stock market. However, in 2025, the Republic Day falls on a weekend, meaning investors will only get 1 holiday for the weekend and not a separate one for January 26, 2025.
