Aadhaar Card Update Online For Free: UIDAI has brought good news for those who want to update their Aadhaar card without paying any fee. UIDAI has once again extended the last date for the facility of uploading documents online for free to provide relief to millions of Aadhaar holders. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has now extended the deadline for updating Aadhaar online for free (Aadhaar Card Update Deadline) to 14 June 2025.
Initially, the deadline for updating Aadhaar online for free was set as June 4, 2024, after which it was extended to September 14, 2024, after which the deadline was extended to December 14, 2024, and now once again the deadline has been extended to June 14, 2025.

Steps to update Aadhaar details online
Go to UIDAI’s self-service portal: For this, first, you have to go to the official UIDAI website.
Login: To log in, enter your Aadhaar number, captcha code, and OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
Go to Document Update: Then go to the ‘Document Update’ section and verify your existing details.
Upload document: Select the document type you want to update from the drop-down menu. Then upload a scanned copy of your supporting document for verification.
Note the service request number: Keep a note of the service request number to track the status of your Aadhaar update.

Offline update to change biometrics
For updates related to biometric information such as fingerprints, iris scans, or photographs, you will have to visit an Aadhaar enrolment center or Aadhaar service center. For offline updates, follow the steps given below:
Download the update form: First download the form from the UIDAI website.
Submit the form: Fill out the form add the required documents to it and submit it at the nearest enrolment centre or Aadhaar service centre.
Biometric verification: For this, provide biometric data (fingerprints, iris scans, etc.)
Finally, to track the status of your update, you will be given a slip with your URN (Update Request Number) through which you will be able to track the Aadhaar card update request.
