Yamuna Authority Residential Plot Scheme: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) on Friday announced that the lucky draw for the much-hyped residential plot scheme is underway. It further stated that the lucky draw is taking place at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida, and a total of 451 plots will be allocated through this draw. The lucky draw process began at 10 AM, and all the people who applied for the residence can take part in the lucky draw.

The authority said that the allocation process is being conducted transparently through a manual lucky draw, and it further added that the whole process is overseen by an allocation committee. An advisory by the authority also stated that there are designated supervisors to ensure fairness and transparency in the lucky draw.
The plot allocation is hyped because of the location near the Noida international airport. The authority informed that the application deadline for the scheme was November 30, and millions of people expressed interest in having a resident near the international airport.
The authority further informed that the scheme is extremely popular among the people of the region, as apart from the international airport, it is also situated near the Yamuna Expressway. The plots are considered useful for residential and commercial development.
Earlier in October, the YEIDA announced that the authority has received a proposal from a US-based firm expressing desire to construct an “American City” in the region around Noida International Airport. The authority informed that the American firm sought 1,200 acres of land to build an educational institute in the region. The ambitious project is being planned near the airport along the Yamuna Expressway between Greater Noida and Agra.
