The Government of India has introduced an upgraded version of the Permanent Account Number (PAN), known as PAN 2.0. This new version includes enhanced security features, notably a QR code, making it easier to verify details like photographs, names, signatures, and more. While PAN cards with QR codes were first launched in 2017-18, many people still possess the older versions without this feature.

Eligibility & Fees:

  • Free Download for New PAN Holders: If your PAN was issued within the last month, you can download your ePAN with a QR code at no cost.
  • For Older PAN Cards: If you have an older version of the PAN, you will need to pay a nominal fee of ₹8.26 to download the ePAN with the QR code.
  • Physical PAN Card with QR Code: If you prefer a physical card, it will cost ₹50.

Steps to Download PAN 2.0 with QR Code:

Visit the PAN Card Portal:

  • Go to the NSDL or UTIITSL website for PAN services.

Provide PAN Details:

  • You will need your PAN numberphone number, and email address.

Select ePAN or Physical PAN:

Download the ePAN:
