ENROLLING IN THE SCHEME: A SIMPLE PROCESS
Senior citizens or their family members can begin the enrolment process by downloading the Ayushman Bharat app from the Google Play Store or the official website. Once downloaded, users can select their preferred language to navigate through the process smoothly.
To start enrolment, users must click on the ‘Login as beneficiary’ option, entering the captcha and their mobile number. After receiving an OTP, the login is complete, and they can move on to the senior citizen’s enrolment section at the bottom of the home screen.
AADHAAR VERIFICATION AND FINAL SUBMISSION
A key step in the process is Aadhaar validation. After entering the Aadhaar number, users will receive an OTP on the registered mobile number for validation.

They will then need to select their state of residence, after which a search option will confirm whether the senior citizen is already enroled. If not, fresh enrolment is required, followed by another OTP verification.
The process also includes taking a live photo for identity verification.
After providing all required details—such as address, city, state, ward information, and contact number—the application can be submitted. Upon approval, the beneficiary receives the Ayushman card, ready to avail of the benefits.
A HEALTHIER FUTURE FOR SENIOR CITIZENS
With over 36 crore beneficiaries already verified under the scheme, PM-JAY is transforming healthcare for India’s elderly population. By simplifying the enrolment process, this initiative empowers senior citizens with access to essential health services, making healthcare more accessible and affordable for all.
