“Amid heightened volatility and persistent FIIs (Foreign Institutional Investors) selling pressure, investors are likely to adopt a cautious stance,” said Pravesh Gour, Senior Technical Analyst, Swastika Investmart Ltd. “Despite recent weakness, the market outlook remains cautiously optimistic. However, relentless selling by FIIs has added to market pressure.”

The scheduled expiry of December’s derivative contracts could further amplify market volatility this week. “The holiday-shortened week will see participants closely monitoring FII flow trends and global market performance for direction,” said Ajit Mishra, SVP, Research, Religare Broking Ltd.
Low Activity Expected Amid Festive Season
Siddhartha Khemka, Head of Research, Wealth Management, Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd, added, “With the festive season approaching and global markets closed for 2-3 days, including a domestic holiday on December 25, market activity is expected to be low this week.”
