Reliance Jio launches JioTag Go for Android users: Price, features and more

Reliance Jio has introduced JioTag Go, a Bluetooth tracker compatible with Google’s Find My Device network. This makes it the first tracker in India to use Google’s extensive network, enabling real-time tracking of belongings through the Find My Device app.

Price and availability

The JioTag Go is priced at Rs 1,499 and is available on Amazon, JioMart, Reliance Digital, and My Jio Stores. Customers can choose from four colour options: Black, White, Orange, and Yellow. The tracker is sold both online and offline.

Features

JioTag Go leverages nearby Android devices to provide location updates even when the tracker is out of Bluetooth. This functionality ensures users can locate their belongings globally. It pairs with Android devices through the Google Find My Device app, available on the Google Play Store.

Once paired, JioTag Go can be attached to various items like keys, wallets, luggage, gadgets, and bikes. The extensive reach of the Google Find My Device network allows users to track their belongings seamlessly.

Steps to set up and use it

JioTag Go offers two setup methods:

Fast Pair Setup

1. Install the Google Find My Device app from the Google Play Store.

2. Turn on JioTag Go near your phone, and tap “Connect” on the Fast Pair popup.

3. Agree to the terms of use and tap “Done” to complete the setup.

Manual Setup

1. Install the Google Find My Device app and open it.

2. Go to phone settings, select ‘Google,’ then ‘Connected devices and sharing.’

3. Enable ‘Scan for nearby devices’ and tap JioTag Go in the ‘Available devices nearby’ section.

4. Pair the devices and follow the on-screen instructions.

For those unaware, Jio also launched the JioTag Air tag, earlier this year. It is compatible with Apple’s Find My network Priced at Rs 1,499, it is available in Grey, Blue, and Red and is designed for iOS users seeking similar tracking capabilities.
