Amazon Prime membership rules are changing starting January 6 2025: New limits and more

Amazon is updating Prime membership usage terms in India, limiting the number of TVs that can stream content simultaneously under a single Prime membership. Starting in January 2025, Prime members will be able to use Prime Video on up to five devices, including a maximum of two TVs, the company said in an emailed communication to one of the members of the Times of India Tech Team.

Users who watch Prime Video on more than two TVs will now have to purchase a separate subscription to continue watching on the third TV. The change will come into effect from January 6, as per an Amazon help page.

Currently, Prime members can stream on up to five devices with no restrictions on the type of device. Users can manage their registered devices on the Prime Video settings page.
