TTD Vaikunta Ekadasi Special Darshan Update: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has begun preparations for the auspicious Vaikunta Ekadasi festival from January 10, 2025 to January 19, 2025. EO J Syamala Rao and additional EO Ch Venkaiah Chowdary reviewed the arrangements for the 10-day festival with TTD officials on Tuesday.

Briefing reporters about the arrangements, Syamala Rao said the temple administration will release the Srivani trust-linked VIP break darshan tickets quota pertaining to the festival period on Dec 23. TTD will also release the quota of Rs 300 special entry darshan tickets for the festival period on Dec 24. For the issue of slotted sarvadarshan tokens (free darshan tokens) to devotees, TTD will set up eight ticket counters in Tirupati and one counter at Tirumala for all 10 days of the festival.

TTD announced that only protocol VIPs will be allowed for darshan on Vaikunta Ekadasi day (Jan 10). In view of the heavy pilgrim rush anticipated for the festival, the temple body has cancelled Vedasirvachanam and all forms of privilege darshans at Tirumala during the 10-day festival period.

Meanwhile, as per tradition, the golden chariot procession will be held at Tirumala on Jan 10 and Chakrasnanam rituals will be held the next day, coinciding with Vaikunta Dwadasi. TTD will maintain a buffer stock of 3.5 lakh laddus in addition to the 3.5 lakh laddus produced and distributed to the devotees daily.
