In a major move by Mukesh Ambani– Asia’s richest man– and his daughter Isha Ambani, which could stir the Smart TV market in India, Reliance Retail Friday launched a range of Home Theatre LED TVs under the BPL brand, which have been indigenously developed in collaboration with Harman/Kardon aka Harman– an American audio electronics giant which specializes in audio accessories and equipment.
“The TVs, launched under the BPL brand, are engineered to deliver a cutting-edge audio experience through specifically optimised speaker modules, in addition to exceptional picture clarity, providing a theatre-like experience at home,” Isha Ambani-led Reliance Retail said in an official media release,

According to the release, Reliance Retail’s new BPL Home Theatre TV range uses Harman’s proprietary AudioEFX tuning software and are powered by four AI algorithms that work in tandem to deliver a broad spectrum of audio, capturing the finer details with remarkable clarity.
“Consumers can now enjoy a truly cinematic experience in the comfort of their homes. Through this initiative, Reliance Retail fosters growth and innovation within the local manufacturing ecosystem and contributes to India’s emergence as a global manufacturing powerhouse,” it said.
BPL Home Theatre LED TVs are now available across the country at all electronic stores, large format stores, modern retail outlets, and ecommerce platforms like jiomart.com & reliancedigital.in.
