ICICI Bank customers take note! ICICI Bank has announced a scheduled maintenance period that will affect the RTGS transactions, as per the bank’s e-mail alert to its customers.

During this maintenance window, both incoming and outgoing RTGS transactions will be delayed and processed after 06:00 a.m. IST on December 15, 2024, according to an ET report.

Real-Time Gross Settlement or RTGS is an electronic fund transfer system that processes transactions between bank accounts instantly.

ICICI Bank RTGS Downtime Timings:

  • The scheduled maintenance will occur from 11:55 p.m. on December 14, 2024, until 06:00 a.m. IST on December 15, 2024.
  • Customers can continue using NEFT, IMPS, or UPI services through iMobile or Internet Banking platforms during the maintenance period.

Online transactions through ICICI Bank’s Internet Banking, iMobile Pay app, and Pockets app are free. Branch-initiated transactions have specific charges:

– Rs 20 + GST for amounts between Rs 2 lakh and Rs 5 lakh

– Rs 45 + GST for amounts between Rs 5 lakh and Rs 10 lakh

Fund transfers typically complete within 30 minutes of initiation. Customers can schedule RTGS transactions up to 3 working days in advance.

For RTGS funds transfer, customers must provide these essential details:

  • The transfer amount
  • Account number of the sender for debit
  • Beneficiary’s bank and branch details
  • Beneficiary’s full name
  • Beneficiary’s account number
  • Receiving branch’s IFSC code

RTGS Transfer Process via ICICI Net Banking

Step 1- Access your account and register beneficiary

Step 2- Navigate to ‘Payments and Transfer’ and select ‘Funds Transfer’

Step 3- Choose ‘Add a Payee’, then select ‘Other Bank Payee’ under Beneficiary Type

Step 4- Input the account details or credit card number of the beneficiary

Step 5- Choose the appropriate IFSC by selecting bank and branch

Step 6- Select ‘Add’ followed by ‘Confirm’

Step 7- Complete OTP authentication. Upon successful verification, the payee becomes available for transactions.
