What are the benefits of Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana?

The Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana provides financial assistance of Rs 1000/- per month to women beneficiaries. The amount will be directly transferred to the beneficiary’s Aadhaar-linked bank account by the 15th of every month. Annually, Rs 12,000 will be deposited in the bank accounts of all qualified women through the Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme.

Maiya Samman Yojana: Check eligibility criteria

The applicant should be a female. The applicant should be a permanent resident of Jharkhand and their age should be between 18-49 years. Earlier, the eligible age limit started from 21 years, which was then reduced to 18 in September 2024.

Who is not eligible for benefits under the Maiya Samman Yojana?

One cannot be eligible to avail the benefits of Maiya Samman Yojana in the following cases:

  • If the applicant herself or her husband is employed as a regular/permanent employee/contractual employee/honorarium employee in the Central/State government or Central/state public sector undertakings, statutory body, local body, urban body and government aided educational institution or is receiving pension/family pension after retirement.
  • If the family member is a current or former MP/MLA.
  • If she belongs to families paying income tax.
  • Beneficiaries who are already getting benefits of any other social security pension scheme run by the Women, Child Development and Social Security Department, Jharkhand, Ranchi, will not be eligible for this scheme.
  • Women holding EPF accounts.

How to apply for Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana?

Here are the steps to be followed to apply for Maiya Samman Yojana offline, according to the myscheme website.

Step 1: Visit nearest anganwadi center or the office of the block development officer/zonal officer and request a hard copy of the application form.

Step 2: Fill in all the mandatory fields, and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required).

Step 3: Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents.

In rural areas, applicants can visit the nearest Pragya Kendra or the office of the block development officer. Applicants can visit the office of the zonal officer if they are in urban areas.

Step 4: Request a receipt or acknowledgment from the District Differently Abled Welfare Officer to whom the application has been submitted. Ensure that the receipt contains essential details such as the date and time of submission, and a unique identification number (if applicable).
