Delhi Air Quality: The national capital breathed ‘Moderate’ air quality in the morning after weeks as the pollution levels dipped due to anti-pollution measures in place.
Delhi Air Pollution : In a much-needed respite for the residents, the air quality in the national capital improved to the ‘Moderate’ category after over 50 days as Supreme Court-monitored anti-pollution measures remain in place in Delhi.

The AQI in the city was recorded at 161 points at 7 am, according to Central Pollution Control Board data on Thursday. The improvement from the ‘Poor’ category was witnessed at 4 pm yesterday with an AQI of 178, as against 211 at 8 am on Wednesday.
The residents witnessed a clear sky in the early morning with decent visibility.
The Supreme Court held various hearings on the air pollution issue, directing the Delhi government and the police to enforce anti-pollution measures in the city.
Several areas in Delhi witnessed ‘Moderate’ air quality early this morning, however, some areas, which included Shadipur, Dilshad Garden, Jahangirpuri, and Mundka still reeled under ‘Poor’ air quality.

The CPCB classifies AQI levels as follows: 0-50 is ‘good’, 51-100 is ‘satisfactory’, 101-200 is ‘moderate’, 201-300 is ‘poor’, 301-400 is ‘very poor’, and above 400 is ‘severe’.
