Skoda Auto India recently announced the entry-level price of the Skoda Kylaq compact SUV in the Indian market. And tomorrow, i.e., December 2, 2024, the company will announce the full price list and also will open the official bookings for the compact SUV. Interested customers can book the SUV online or by visiting their nearest dealership. The Kylaq is available in four variants – Classic, Signature, Signature Plus, and Prestige. Prices for the model start at Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom).

Customers interested in booking online may visit the Skoda India website, where they can select the Kylaq model from the available options. They will then need to provide essential details, including their name, email address, PAN, car information, state, city, and PIN code. Additionally, the mobile number must be entered, followed by the submission of an OTP. Upon completion, a booking amount of Rs. 11,000 must be paid to finalize the booking process for the vehicle.

In terms of design, the design is in line with other Skoda models with signature grille sleek LED DRLs and split headlights. It features L-shaped LED taillights with a bold ‘Skoda’ badge in the centre and it also appears to have a chunky rear bumper and roof rails. Overall, it looks like a mini Kushaq with a few changes.
The Kylaq is based on the brand’s MQB-A0-IN platform and measures less than four metres in length. The new model will compete with already established rivals such as the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza. The Kylaq measures 3,995 mm in length, 1975 mm in width, 1575 mm height and has a 2,566 mm wheelbase with a ground clearance of 189 mm.

In terms of features, the Kylaq comes packed. It’s offered with an 8.0-inch fully digital cluster, 10.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, connected car tech, powered both front seats, 2-spoke steering wheel, semi-leatherette seat upholstery, single-pane sunroof, ventilated seats, ambient lighting, and a six-speaker Canton sound system. Safety-wise, it gets six airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, ISOFIX child seat mounts, three-point seatbelts for all occupants, a reverse parking camera with sensors and more.
Talking about engine and gearbox, the Kylaq is offered with a a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo petrol engine with 115 hp of power and 178 nm of torque. Gearbox options will include a 6-speed torque converter and a 6-speed manual gearbox.
