Uttar Pradesh: ‘Ek Parivar Ek Pehchan Family ID’ To Be Made Mandatory For All Families; Here Are Key Details

Uttar Pradesh Ek Parivar Ek Pehchan Family ID:  The benefits of the beneficiary schemes being run by the Uttar Pradesh state government are now to be given to the common people under the unique family ID ‘Ek Parivar Ek Pehchan’. Online applications are being taken for this, however, due to technical problems, the registration process has been initiated a bit late.

Thousands of applications have been cancelled

At the same time, thousands of applications have been cancelled due to irregularities at the verification level. Here, for the last two weeks, once again the DM has given instructions to speed up the process of making family IDs.

Family ID will help in availing government schemes

It has been made mandatory to make a family ID so that all families in the state have a unique identity. In this scheme, families who do not have ration cards cannot be given the facility of ration cards under the standards. This family ID will prove beneficial for them in availing government schemes.

No need to apply separately

It was told that the families who have ration cards under various ration schemes, these cards are their family IDs, they do not need to apply separately. DSO Omhari Upadhyay said that in the urban areas of the district, where SDM is the verification officer, the Lekhpal will report to the concerned family.

On the other hand, in the rural areas, the Block Development Officer has been made the verification officer, here the Panchayat Secretary will give his report on the application, after which the family ID can be created. It can be downloaded online and used.

8186 families applied, and 1018 got approval

DSO Omhari Upadhyay said that till now a total of 8186 families in the district have applied online for family ID. After verification, 1018 families have been approved to create family IDs. At the same time, 6345 applications have been rejected due to technical and practical deficiencies.

The process was delayed due to verification issues. Some rural areas joining the jurisdiction of urban areas created some problems in clearing applications. For this, a meeting will be called again and the problem related to the map will be resolved.
