Kolkata-Phuket direct IndiGo flight to launch on THIS date

With this new addition, the airline will now offer a total of 93 weekly flights between India and Thailand.

Starting December 27, IndiGo will introduce daily direct flights between Kolkata and Phuket, the airline announced on Friday. This new service marks IndiGo’s second direct flight to Phuket, following the successful launch of flights from Delhi. With this addition, IndiGo is expanding its global network to accommodate the increasing number of Indian tourists visiting Thailand. The airline aims to strengthen its position in the Southeast Asia travel market, offering greater convenience for travelers looking to explore the popular Thai destination.

IndiGo’s Increased Connectivity to Thailand

Vinay Malhotra, IndiGo’s Head of Global Sales, highlighted the importance of the new route, stating, that the airline is excited to expand its network in Thailand by adding a daily flight from Kolkata to Phuket, complementing the 11 weekly flights already operating to Bangkok. With this new addition, the airline will now offer a total of 93 weekly flights between India and Thailand.

Phuket, Thailand’s largest island, is known for its scenic beaches and cultural diversity. The country’s visa-free policy for Indian citizens is expected to drive further demand for travel.
