Passport Renewal Process

Validity Period

For Adults: A standard passport is valid for 10 years.

For Minors (under 18): The passport must be renewed every 5 years.

Renewal Recommendation

It’s recommended to begin the renewal process at least 9 months before the expiration date to avoid any travel disruptions.

Documents Required for Renewal

Current Passport: The original passport with photocopies of the first and last pages.

ECR/Non-ECR Pages: Self-attested copy of the Emigration Check Required (ECR) or Non-ECR page.

Address Proof: Valid proof of address.

Passport Renewal Fees

36-Page Passport: Valid for 10 years with a fee of ₹1,500.

60-Page Passport: Valid for 10 years with a fee of ₹2,000.
