The ongoing clashes in Bangladesh turned violent on Tuesday as three Hindu temples were targeted in Chattogram. The temples, which were targeted, included Lokonath Temple in Firangi Bazar, Mansa Mata Temple and Kali Mata Temple in Hazari Lane.

The development is part of the violence against Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh that has risen to alarming levels since then prime minister Sheikh Hasina was deposed on August 5 in a coup.
The recent protests erupted after the Hindus started protesting peacefully in large numbers in response to the organised attacks by Islamist radicals. The protests were organised by their social and religious organisation, chiefly ISKCON with followers all over the world.
In view of the protest, prominent Hindu leader and ISKCON monk Chinmoy Krishna Das was detained at the Dhaka Airport on Monday.

Attack On Hindu Minorities
The Bangladesh Army attacked Hindu minorities who were peacefully protesting in Thakurgaon, Bangladesh. The protestors were demonstrating for the release of Chinmayanand Das.
Meanwhile, the ISKCON Bangladesh has denounced the arrest of its leader Chinmoy Krishna Das and said that they condemn attacks on Sanatanis in various regions of Bangladesh.

Lawyer Killed In Violent Clashes
A public-prosecutor was killed and several others were injured after a violent clash between Bangladeshi security forces and supporters of Hindu leader Chinmoy Das erupted after he was denied bail and sent to jail by a Chittagong Court.
The victim was identified as Saiful Islam, a 35-year-old assistant public prosecutor and a member of the Chattogram District Bar Association, the Dhaka Tribune newspaper reported.
