Redmi Note 14 series to launch in India on December 9: Everything you need to know

The Redmi Note 14 series will officially break cover in India on December 9, Xiaomi has confirmed.

A new “Note” is coming. While there have been other Notes, none has stood the test of time as emphatically as the Redmi Note, Xiaomi’s most successful product line notorious for insane value, even if the prices have gone up “significantly” over the last few years. The 14th edition—Redmi Note 14 series—will officially break cover in India on December 9, Xiaomi has confirmed.

The series boots three models. These are the Redmi Note 14, Redmi Note 14 Pro and Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus. The trio was launched first in China. Xiaomi doesn’t explicitly mention the names but unless there’s a last minute change, you can bet your money on what’s coming. Xiaomi has in the past kicked off these things with the pro models, with the vanilla flavour coming a bit later down the line. It would be interesting to see how it plans to go about with the upcoming phones.

As we mentioned, the Note 14, Note 14 Pro and 14 Pro Plus are already a go in China so we can paint a picture of what to expect from their Indian counterparts ahead of launch.

Redmi Note 14 Series: What we know so far

The Redmi Note 14 Pro and 14 Pro Plus phones feature a 6.67-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screens can reach an incredible 3000 nits peak brightness and support Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and 12-bit colour depth. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection is available.

The Note 14 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra, while the Pro Plus runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

For photography, the Note 14 Pro has a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. The Pro Plus takes it further with a 50MP main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens. Both models come with a 20MP front camera for selfies.

The Note 14 Pro has a 5500mAh battery with 45W fast charging, while the Pro Plus boasts a larger 6200mAh battery with 90W fast charging.

Running on Android 14 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS, the devices are packed with premium features like Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, in-display fingerprint sensors, and IP68 water and dust resistance. They also support 5G connectivity, NFC, and Wi-Fi 6.

The Redmi Note 14 gets a 200MP main camera, 5100mAh battery and MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra under the hood.
