The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of dense fog conditions in the early morning and during the night time in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab from November 10 to 11. Meanwhile, intense downpours are likely to take place across Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala from November 12 to 15.

The weather office also added that moderate showers accompanied with isolated thunderstorms and lightning is expected to occur over Puducherry, Kerala, Mahe, Karaikal and Tamil Nadu from 10 November to 15 November. Southern regions like Yanam, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema may experience intense rain on November 12 to 13.
The minimum temperatures over the Himalayan region are anticipated to decline by 2-3 degrees Celsius for next four to five days whereas other parts of the country are predicted to witness minimal changes in temperature for the upcoming week.
Delhi-NCR weather update and AQI
In Delhi and the NCR region, the Met Department has notified that there will be moderate fog on Sunday with temperatures likely to reach its peak at around 32 degrees Celsius and will dip to 18 degrees Celsius. Presence of smog, mist and mild fog might be there in the morning as well as in the evening. The sky is expected to be clear; the surface winds will be below 10 kmph during the day time and it will come down to 6 kmph in the evening and night.
Meanwhile, the national capital’s air quality continues to be in the ‘very poor’ quality although a slight improvement was recorded on Saturday evening. The Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 351 by 6 pm and was lower from 358 which was recorded on the previous day. According to the Sameer app which provides hourly AQI updates by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), some areas like Moti Bagha and Bawana remained in the ‘severe’ category, with AQI levels reported to above 400.
