The PM Internship Scheme 2024 aims to offer internship opportunities in the top 500 companies across India to more than one crore candidates over five years.
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) will conclude the registration process for the Prime Minister Internship Scheme 2024 today, November 10. Candidates still have some time left to apply for various internship positions through the scheme’s official portal, pminternship.mca.gov.in. The scheme, announced in the Union Budget 2024, aims to offer internship opportunities in the top 500 companies across India to more than one crore candidates over five years.
This year, the scheme offers 80,000 internship opportunities in 24 areas of specialisation in notable firms such as Mahindra & Mahindra, L&T, Tata Group and Jubilant FoodWorks. Banking, financial services, oil and energy, fast-moving consumer goods, manufacturing, travel and hospitality are among the available sectors.

How to apply for the PM Internship Scheme 2024?
Step 1: Head to the official website, pminternship.mca.gov.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the Register link and fill in the required details.
Step 3: After submitting the details, the system will auto-generate your resume based on the information provided.
Step 4: Next up, apply for up to five internship positions, including preferences such as location, sector and qualifications.
Step 5: Submit the form and keep a hard copy of it for future reference.

PM Internship Scheme 2024: Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the PM Internship Scheme, candidates must be between 21 to 24 years of age.
Must have passed at least High School or Higher Secondary School.
Must hold an ITI certificate, a diploma from a Polytechnic Institute or a degree such as BA, BSc, BCom, BCA, BBA or B Pharma.
PM Internship Scheme 2024: Stipend
During the internship period, the interns will receive a stipend of Rs 5,000. Out of this, the host company will contribute Rs 500 from their CSR funding, with the government providing the rest of Rs 4,500 to the shortlisted interns.
The scheme also adheres to reservation regulations for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Classes.
The internships will last 12 months, with at least half of the time dedicated to hands-on job experience. In addition, interns will receive a one-time stipend of Rs 6,000 to cover incidental expenditures throughout their internship.
