Weather alert: Heavy rainfall predictions to continue for Tamil Nadu, Kerala and three other regions till 11 November

The India Meteorological Department has predicted that heavy downpours will continue in Tamil Nadu and Kerala till 11 November 2024. A yellow alert has also been issued for heavy showers over these two places along with Puducherry, Mahe, and Kariakal. Light rains accompanied by isolated lightning and thunderstorms are also expected all over these regions from 8 November to 11 November. Tamil Nadu, Karaikal, and Puducherry will likely receive it until 13 November, and Mahe and Kerala will get it on 8 November, 12 and 13 November respectively.

Delhi pollution Update

The pollution levels in Delhi during the ongoing Chhath Puja celebrations have spiked as the Air Quality Index (AQI) has reached 382 level by 6 pm, as per the Central Pollution Control Board data. Around 16 weather stations have recorded more than 400 AQI readings in places like Ashok Vihar, Bawana, Mundka, Anand Vihar, Jahangirpuri, Rohini, Okhla Phase 2, Rohini, Punjabi Bagh, Sonia Vihar, Bawana, Punjabi Bangh and Patparganj.

Delhi-NCR Weather Prediction

In the national Capital, shallow fog is anticipated on Friday and the warm weather conditions will likely prevail. The sky will be mostly clear and smog, mist, and slight fog are expected to be there at night time.
