Background on Dry DaysDelhi’s scheduled dry days are part of a policy introduced on January 22 this year, implementing similar restrictions across other states like Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The restrictions were first introduced to coincide with the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya, during which alcohol, meat, and fish sales were restricted. Republic Day on January 26 was also observed as a dry day under these guidelines.

With several dry days in November, Delhi residents will need to plan their festivities around these limitations on alcohol sales, ensuring compliance with the city’s regulations.
